Kurt
Csolak - With
sixteen years of stage experience, Kurt is thrilled
to share his passion for tap dancing as he debuts
with Cats Paying Dues. A current student at New York
University, Kurt has trained in all areas of
performance including acting, vocals, and all styles
of dance. Stage credits include Freeze Frame Improv
Comedy at the Del Close Improv Marathon NYC, D.A.R.K.
professional vocal group, 13 years competitive dance
experience, and lead roles in many regional theatre
performances. TV/Film credits include; Speed Racer:
The Next Generation, the voice of Speed for Nicktoons
Network, One Life To Live, As The World Turns, Hip
Hop Homeroom worldwide children’s video, and various
TV commercials. Two-time senior national tap
champion, Kurt is now a staff member at the Star
Maker School of the Performing Arts, Flemington, NJ.
Kurt enjoys long walks on the beach, driving with the
windows down, and listening when no one else will.

Alex
MacDonald is a
multi-faceted performer from Farmingdale, NY. He
holds a B.A. in Musical Theatre from SUNY Geneseo,
where he recently graduated summa cum laude. Regional
credits include Carousel (Carousel Boy), Buddy: The
Buddy Holly Story (Tommy), Anything Goes (Sailor),
and High School Musical (Assistant Director) with the
Summer Theatre in Meredith Village. He has also
performed with NYC’s Impetuous Theater Group in
productions of P.S. 66: La Scare Academy and the 5th
annual 47:59 Play Festival. In the summer of 2006, he
interned with the Alvin Ailey Arts in Education
department, where he had the opportunity to teach tap
to inner-city children as an assistant group leader
for AileyCamp. Alex began tap dancing at age three,
is self-taught on guitar, and sings baritone in a
barbershop quartet called NARD. |

Alisa Paradowski was born and
raised in Houston where she graduated from Sam
Houston State University with a B.F.A. in Performing
Arts. Now living in New York City as a professional
dancer, she is thrilled to join the CPD PLUS company.
She has worked with such artists such as Le Ann
Rimes, Freddie Prince Jr., Dennis Quaid, and Clay
Walker. She has done commercials for Nike,
Footlocker, Ford, and you may have seen her tapping
in the t.v. show Gossip Girls. She has had the
privilege to teach tap and hip hop at Joffrey Ballet
School in New York, the American College Dance
Festival (ACDFA), and for the Disney association.
Along with numerous performing shows under the
direction of Rhonda Miller, and tapper/drummer in
industrials such as Kohler Company and the ABB
Corporate Team, you can find her teaching tap at Pace
University in New York City. |

Gina
Unverferth is
excited to be one of the newest members of CPD Plus,
coming from a 9-year post with Rhythm in Shoes (RIS)
as dancer and Assistant Artistic Director. While with
RIS, Gina toured the U.S., U.K., and Ireland, and was
honored to perform Morton Gould’s Tap Dance Concerto
with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. She is also
an original member of the old-time/bluegrass group
ShoeFly. Gina’s teaching experience includes serving
as faculty at a myriad of dance festivals, studios,
and universities as well as arts integration
workshops at numerous schools through the Muse
Machine organization. She has choreographed,
premiered, and toured four new works since 2004. Gina
received the 2006 Individual Artist Fellowship and
the 2003 Furtherance Fund Grant, both from the
Montgomery County Arts and Cultural District. She
earned a B.A. in Dance from the University of Akron
and an M.B.A. from the University of Findlay.

Penelope Wendtlandt grew up in
Bavaria, Germany where she studied various dance
forms including: international folk dance, ballroom,
ballet and tap dance. When she moved to Austin TX in
2002 she began to train as a multy-form dancer at
Tapestry Dance Company under Acia Gray, Tasha Lawson
and Jason Janas amongst others. There she had the
privilege to learn from teachers such as Fayard
Nicholas, Dianne Walker and Sarah Petronio. Penelope
has been in various Summer Stock productions in
Austin including West Side Story and Thoroughly
Modern Millie. She is currently a junior at Eugene
Lang College majoring in Modern Dance. |
